The Everest Helicopter Tour is probably one of the most exciting tours in the world and Nepal.  This tour will have you picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Kathmandu airport. From here you will fly to Mt. Everest Base Camp and back in just 4 hours. You will have two stops along the way and the trip duration is around 4 hours Kathmandu return. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to admire the beauty of the Mt. Everest from the very famous viewpoint. Experience the highest point of Everest base camp trekking, Kala Patthar, in the Khumbu region of Nepal. Along with the Mt. Everest (8,848m), this tour will also allow you to enjoy the mesmerizing view of a series of glorious mountains – Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Shisa Pangma, Melung Tse, Jugal, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Makalu and the astounding hills, rivers, glaciers, lakes, the settlement of Sherpa people and the most part of the Khumbu region. You will also get a chance to have breakfast in the Khumbu region of Nepal.

If you are looking for additional services, we can make the arrangements (extra charges applicable). We also make sure that the helicopters are equipped with a set of Oxygen system consisting of 4-5-liter cylinder of mountaineering oxygen, fitted with a regulator and hi-tech top-out mask, to provide instant help in case of emergencies.  

This tour entirely depends on the weather conditions in the Himalayas. However, Spring and Autumn are the best season to plan this exhilarating trip in Nepal.

Detailed Itinerary:

It will be very early in the morning; private transportation will come to pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport in Kathmandu.

Shortly after the departure formalities at the airport, the helicopter leaves for Lukla, the gateway to the Everest Base Camp. After refilling the fuel at Lukla, the helicopter heads towards the Everest Base Camp.

The helicopter will either land at the Everest Base Camp, or Kala Patthar, depending upon the weather conditions. At the base camp/Kala Patthar, the helicopter will only stop for 5 minutes. You can enjoy the surrounding view and take pictures quickly. 

After enjoying the majestic view of the Mt. Everest and other snow-capped peaks, the helicopter will now head to Syangboche for breakfast (20 minutes). The breakfast will be served at a little tea house here. Along with the breakfast, you will once again get a chance to enjoy the beautiful Mt. Everest with its range.

After breakfast, we will fly back to Lukla to refill the fuel required to get back to Kathmandu.  We will now fly back to the airport in Kathmandu.

From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in a private car.

Note: The Helicopter normal charge per hour $1800 excluding restricted areas. If we need to go restricted areas we need special permits from the government and these areas include; Manaslu and Dolpa.
